Celebrate America's 233rd birthday in patriotic style at O'Fallon's 29th annual Heritage & Freedom Fest, which will be at the Ozzie Smith Sports Complex from 4-11 p.m. on Friday, July 3, and noon-11 p.m. on Saturday, July 4.  Admission, parking and shuttle service are free.

Country music takes top billing on Friday night with Craig Morgan and Chris Young.  Contemporary rockers Gavin DeGraw and Sister Hazel will rock the mainstage on July 4.  Mainstage entertainment includes popular regional bands the Rough Ryders on Friday, and Trixie Delight and Elevation (U2 tribute band) on Saturday.

Festival highlights include the Kent Family Magic Circus, carnival rides and midway, pony rides, free kids' activities in the Kids' Area, the new Business Expo, festival food and beverages, and two nights of fireworks.  The display begins at 10:15 p.m. on July 3 and 9:45 p.m. on July 4.  (For safety, T.R. Hughes Blvd. and Cool Springs Industrial will temporarily close for one hour before fireworks begin.)
