The Ambassadors of Harmony Prepare for International Competition

The Ambassadors of Harmony completed two successful performances of their Annual Show, Voices in Harmony, this past Saturday.  They are now finalizing their preparation to compete at the annual Barbershop harmony Society's International Chorus competition in Anaheim, California, on July 3rd.  The Ambassadors have had a long string of successes in this competition, having earned top-five medals twelve times, including the First Place Gold Medal in 2004.  They returned to competition in 2007 and 2008, earning Second Place Silver Medals, with two of the highest second-place scores ever recorded.  The members of the chorus are very excited about this year's contest, and look forward to giving the thousands of patrons a performance to be remembered.

The contest can be viewed on-line through the BHS Webcast of the event.  More information about the webcast can be found at http://www.barbershop.org/webcast.aspx

Upon their return from the July competition, the Ambassadors will have a couple of recording sessions, and then go back into rehearsal in preparation for autumn activities and for their annual Sounds of the Season holiday show.  Five performances of this program will be presented at the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center on December 11th through December 13th.  Tickets will go on sale on October 12th, through the Touhill Ticket Office.  Reservations for groups of 20 or more can be made right now, also through the Ticket Office, at 314-516-4949
