YOUR HELP IS KINDLY REQUESTED
The Arts Council has been providing exciting new projects and bringing back some favorite events in the last six months. We created a bird viewing garden for residents at an assisted living; started a speakers’ bureau; began a lessons directory; partnered with the Pirate Festival in a photo quest; sponsored two membership receptions prior to community theatre productions; and partnered with Greater St. Louis Renaissance Faire, the Pirate Festival, the Alliance for Astronomy, and Wild Bird Rehabilitation. We hosted the Arts Happening for Kids event in February assisted by skilled and caring presenters. In addition, we are providing scholarships for high school seniors who have shown a passion for the arts and offering a mural contest for middle and high school students. We would like to provide art experiences for two adult day cares. With all of this activity, we need your help.
If you have been a member, please renew your membership. If you enjoy our newsletter and have attended some of our events, please consider joining. If your company has a matching gift, please fill out the paperwork and help provide us with additional funds. If you can donate reams of paper or other supplies, office equipment, or other in-kind donations, your generosity would be sincerely appreciated. Several new projects are in the works, and we need materials and money to help us reach our goals. We would love to have volunteers assist us in our projects, fundraising, and publicity.
