St. Charles County Arts Council

Supporting All of the Arts in our County

  • Mission: The Arts Council of St. Charles County is an advocacy organization focused on support for, and providing information about, the arts in St. Charles County, Missouri

    The Arts Council’s purpose is to encourage and develop the arts by creating public awareness of county arts activities; to foster communication among visual, performing, and literary arts groups; to work for common goals in the interest of community art development; to sponsor meetings, exhibits, workshops, cooperative displays, art shows; and to aid individual members and organizations in their efforts to create art awareness and activities in the county.

    What does the Arts Council do?

      1. Raises community awareness of the many art organizations and activities available within our county.
      2. Facilitates art exhibits and festivals.
      3. Publishes and distributes a quarterly newsletter and calendar of arts events.
      4. Presents the Arty Awards – to honor those individuals or groups who have made a positive impact on the Arts in our community.
      5. Provides scholarships for local high school students of the arts.
      6. Encourages venues for performing arts.
      7. Helps new groups get established.
      8. Facilitates the exchange of ideas among groups.
      9. Encourages any form of art activity.
